Because Google is fucked and websites are now designed to be unhelpful, I am turning to the wisdom of crowds. Aqua aerobics. In London (central or north). At a nice-ish but not super fancy pool. Ideally in the evenings. Everywhere else has failed me. Can bluesky deliver?

Tales of everyday corruption. Pete Hegseth cancelled the $400,000 contract for making uniforms for the Blue Angels on the grounds that the contract with "The Sewing Box" was DEI since the firm is Black-owned. Instead, he awarded it to a Trump donor for $1,690,000, a 325% price increase!

A spokesperson for the Home Office said: "The right to protest is fundamental to our democracy and the concerns of communities are central to our immigration reforms. "However violence and disorder are never acceptable, and we absolutely condemn the behaviour seen in Thetford, including attacks against frontline police officers."

The UK will experience a partial solar eclipse on Wednesday 12 August. The extent of the Sun's coverage and the timing of maximum obscuration will differ across the country. Never look directly at the sun; use a pinhole projector or certified eclipse glasses to view it.

Advice I’ve received since forever has been to brush teeth last thing at night and first thing in the morning. But you haven’t eaten anything overnight. So how does brushing in the morning help? Is this like 5 portions veg / 14 units alcohol or is it useful in a way I don’t understand?
