As Ed Miliband leaves his post as energy and net-zero secretary, a final tally: There have been an incredible 251 newspaper editorials attacking him and his approach to net-zero since the start of 2024 That amounts to two editorials a week, mainly in the Sun, Daily Mail, Times and Daily Telegraph.

In 1914 there were so many electric cars in Sydney that Sydney City Council set up a charging station in Palmer St. This car was built in Detroit in 1917 and shipped to Australia. The family who owned it used it until the 1940s. This is what was taken from us.

It looks like a glass and wood turret on a horseless hansom cab, replete with actual coach lamps. The paint looks like old black Chinese cabinet lacquer. Same car from the sides something very Addams Family about it. The spoked wheels must be something like 25", it sits a mile off the ground.Rear of the same car. No idea if that bulge is for an engine or a battery.
