Today, Izium in the Kharkiv region marks its liberation day from Russian occupation. Four years ago, the Ukrainian flag was raised here once again, and almost immediately, mass graves were discovered, hidden in the pine forest in the hope that they would be overlooked and forgotten.

Patriot PAC-3 MSEs cost $5 million each. We burned $300 million in missile interceptors in an hour. An F-15E adjusted for inflation costs $90 million each. We blew through a cool $1 billion in an hour fighting a war that’s not a war; which we have no actual plan on how to fight or exit out of.

It is possible, after three years of lies and bloodshed, that this revelation will be the decisive moment for a fence-sitting voter. But what can an article do that so many tangible, visceral moments of loss and pain haven't already? | Linda Dayan 🔗https://tr.ee/0vZAu7

🇺🇸🤔 Trump promises every American $5,000 if the Republican Party wins the election. Where the money for the Trump Dividend program will come from is unknown. It could cost the US budget an estimated $1.35 trillion.

President Trump said he would pay every American adult a $5,000 "Trump dividend" if Republicans retain control of Congress in November's midterm election, an extraordinary attempt to persuade voters to back his party. reut.rs/4cF0lmV

Самий смішний прикол про Германію це те що вони вирішили побудувати саму потужну армію Європи до 2039, ну і на днях у виборах виграла фар-райт партія. Щось це вже було

we had decades of the cultural zeigeist in larges parts of entertainment and academia being 'you can't trust THE MAN' and it did absolutely nothing whatsoever to make people more resistant to actual no-shit authoritarian and corrupt politics and leaders, and I wish more people would reflect on this.

I do think this is a really insidious result of all of the “government is useless and corrupt” propaganda that’s been pushed over the years - people don’t realize how much worse these assholes have made it this level of corruption really is not normal!

e) people with multiple properties were *surprisingly* reluctant to rent them out, because the income from rent was relatively minor compared to the increase in real estate values every year, and it involved having to handle administrative issues, police registration, etc

d) because real estate was the major - often the only - investment vehicle for wealth, and because there is no property tax (only a few limited pilot programs in cities, usually cancelled from pressure from the householding class), there is also an extremely high vacancy rate

c) housing prices are persistently high despite the collapse of the property bubble in 2020 and the bankruptcy of major real estate firms like Evergrande, because the govt is blocking them from falling to market levels to avoid rage from the urban upper-middle-class, a bedrock of party support

a few basic housing facts in China. a) housing prices are wildly out of control in the big cities, far disproportionate to income even compared to the United States. b) the vast of household wealth - 70 percent, double the US share - is in housing

I will explain the Russian civil aviation industry the following way. While it does indeed show signs of life the scale at which it is proving capable of operating is one that will cover the needs of Belarus and not Russia. And this is only after immense state subsidies.
