A former Petroleum Geologist, now obsessed with trying to find truth in journalism and politics, and performing arts that make a real difference for folks. I volunteer lots too!

Makes me crazy, but yes, our #provincial government doesn't care that #Albertans SAID NO. #Petitions have been happening forever. #CorbLund is now fighting to PROVE his latest one is legitimate (IT IS!!) AND the #UCP know it. This #SMITH government treats #Albertans as an inconvenience. #UCPFAILURE

A coal mine expansion!?!?!? Ummmm……Canada is on fire and the government permits a coal mine expansion?!?!?! I have no words….

A Provincial Election is on the horizon in Alberta! All voters must be prepared to challenge Smith and the UCP on their broken health care promises and attempts at public medical care gaslighting. We just can't accept any excuses on affordability by the treasury either!

Thanks for this deep dive on our premier's non-existent commitment to public health care. #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli “Once people get used to the concept of paying out of pocket for more things themselves then we can change the conversation on health care,” albertapolitics.ca/2026/07/lets...

This is nonsense. Since I know for a fact that my 4th breast reconstruction surgery (result of of breast cancer) was delayed because it was assumed that my surgeon only did 'cosmetic' surgeries. And if early detection was actually their priority, they'd reduce the screening age to 40 or younger.

As a person with complex health conditions, this is not good and people will suffer www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Danielle Smith's pipeline should be suspended until she honours her commitment to the Canada Health Act. Smith is asking Canadians to pay up to $34B for an oil pipeline (that has no demonstrable economic benefit) and she's privatizing health care? NO.

Based on what’s in the story, this website shouldn’t even have cost $50k, let alone $300k. That’s 600 hours of work if everyone was making $500 an hour. And to only get 40k visits? That’s $7.5 a click, an absolutely horrible ROI. $300k should get you a website, social, ad spending, and more.

“The Alberta government paid an external agency $300,000 to build its website promoting the ten-question referendum upcoming this October.” The day after our story on “Your Province, Your Premier costing taxpayers almost $10,000 drops, and now this. edmontonjournal.com/news/politic...

If the UCP does succeed in either gerrymandering, choosing their own voters or something else entirely, to the point where elections in Alberta are no longer free or fair, what do we do? I'm not feeling all that confident in relying on the courts to protect our democracy.

An important question here! What promises were made by City Council and what assumptions by the operator over control and allowances in the use of this space? Is this the real crux of the matter irking protesting politicians who want to "sell off" bits of the Province to private operators?

Sure was. Also necessary: Getting to the bottom of how Cowboys was even allowed to take over a public park with near zero input from residents.

Danielle Smith is all for grass roots democracy until it threatens to bite her in the a$$! The strength and success of the WNC canvassing effort has backed her into a corner of her own design, and now she wants to weasel out of a commitment she made. Not at all a good look Premier Smith! #ABpoli

"Lund said he personally met with Smith on May 11 about the coal mining question. 'We were literally discussing the wording of my question as it should appear on the ballot, face-to-face. And at no point was any June 1 deadline mentioned,' he said."

Discovery today was FLOCKS in Rosebud #ALBERTA. It's a licensed art café doubling as a performance palace. A delightful and quirky spot adorned with plenty of vibrant paintings and other art. Why, the proprietors even serenade patrons with their vocal interpretations of jazz standards! #TRAVEL

Damn straight! Danielle Smith and the UCP care only about their own "Free Alberta" agenda and pay mere lip service to everything else. Wise up folks! The election promises made are being ignored in favour of a political agenda which was not part of any pre-election platform. Bate and switch! #ABpoli

The only things actually being implemented are the things we don’t want, the rest just gets talked about.
