I'm working from the WWII Red Cross sock pattern from the Newberry, but was fascinated to see this 1915 WWI sock knitting party painting yesterday! It's by Henrietta Mabel May from the Pierre Lassonde collection! I assume they are also using double pointed needles, but can't quite tell.
