There are two wolves. One always lies. One controls the lever of trolley track. They're in a state of superposition inside a box. On the trolley are infinite monkeys at infinite typewriters going to an infinite hotel. The trolley must first travel halfway, but before that a quarterway, and so on...
I always cut corners when prototyping... metaphorically speaking :P You might say a consistent corner I cut is to leave my cards corner cut-less.
someone tells me they're cutting corners on their prototype card game and I'm thinking dang why are you putting yourself through all that extra work!? 🎲✂️
What's the #GenCon2026 Game you are most interested in picking up? Going to browse the trade floor in a couple hours and am interested to know what booths I should hit!
Demoing today at 2321 & hanging out in booth 171 later today - come find me and say hi!
Oh, this is really cool. I could see this becoming somewhat standard as a way to differentiate colors/player pieces.
Colorsym looks cool! Is anyone I know involved in the project? 🎲✂️ colorsym.com
Listening to The Score: How To Stop Playing Someone Else's Game by @add-hawk.bsky.social and this phrase from the 1st ch "The very clarity in universal comprehensability of metrics seduce us into value capture, even when it makes us miserable" makes me very interested in where it's going next.
You betcha this is going on my schedule.
Game Market Indianapolis will be running during Gen Con on Saturday at 7pm in the JW Marriot 3rd Floor Foyer!! Come visit me and @yinwa.itch.io and the other amazing indie designers! Small teams, small print runs, weird games! sites.google.com/view/gmindy/...
I'm David! I'm a graphic designer, illustrator, community manager, and game designer. Most of my graphic design and illustration work in the tabletop world has been for my own projects, but I'd love to get serious about changing that! 💼: davidmasnato.com ✉️: hello@davidmasnato.com #PortfolioDay
Can AI play journaling games? Spoilers: no. But the interesting question is, why not, and what that tells us about how your human creativity differs from AI slop youtu.be/iBEp-HWVTps

The absolute hardest part of game design for me is pitching games and emailing publishers. Often, the only time I have is in the evenings when I've already spent most of my creative and social energy and getting something written up and sent is a hill that I can't surmount.
Started Pandora's Legacy - a puzzle puzzle - on my birthday weekend. Just doing the first part and it's been really fun so far! Really excited for the rest of it! The pics aren't spoilers (imo) as it's the very very beginning of the puzzle.
Well, this is exciting. Happy Birthday indeed.
Has anyone tried Two Sides to the Coin? A RPG with personal goals and a winner seems like a fun concept but also one that could be the opposite of "telling a fun story together". So we'd like to hear some experiences. www.ospreypublishing.com/uk/two-sides...

Next month will be the 50th anniversary of the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum at the National Arboretum in Washington, DC. In 1976, Japan gifted many precious bonsai to the United States for our bicentennial. It was a remarkable gift just 41 years after the end of World War II.
If someone wants to pay me to write more in this universe, I'd be extremely interested. ajstichter.itch.io/a-brochure-i...

Congrats to @stickydoodler.bsky.social last night for being a finalist for an Origins award last night! While he didn’t win, I can’t help but be so inspired by the incredible kindness, work ethic, and vision for play he has always brought to the table! You’ll get that award one day, friend!!
Unleash your inner critter TODAY at 1.30 at Unpub, in the back of the main gaming hall (C) near the game library! It's a Raccoon Party Game (RPG) you'll cherish like a trash panda for whole minutes
Experience DUMPSTER HEIST at Origins. Of all the Raccoon Party Games you've ever played, Dumpster Heist can be one of them! I think @mistergross.bsky.social and I have made something really special here -- a storytelling game that anyone can play. What, you want me to prove it? Then take the jump -
Played my first megagame tonight - 25+ ppl in a room playing the same cooperative introduction game and it was both overwhelming and fun. Amazingly one control was able to handle the whole room by themselves. This now makes total sense how these games can promote disaster preparedness. #Origins2026
