If Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn proceeds with her anti-democratic maneuver tomorrow, there's a small chance the reformers' court case would prevail. But the law is murky enough to allow an RBH-allied judge to rule in RBH's favor. The best approach remains for all to refuse to recognize RBH as chair.

Queens has 18 Assembly Districts, which means it has 72 Democratic District Leaders, who effectively have the power to decide who become Queens civil court judges. To significantly alter our judiciary system, all we must do is elect 37+ good people like @mathzorro.bsky.social and Melissa San Pedro.

In order to fix Queens' judicial system, we will need to elect a majority of Democratic district leaders who are not subservient to Gerard Sweeney, Michael Reich, and Frank Bolz—who (with Greg Meeks as the figurehead) control the Queens Dem Party. Until then, petition fraud by incumbents will stand.

Kristen is an editor at the Queens Chronicle. Her signature was forged on AM Rajkumar’s ballot access petitions, along with those of more than 1,000 other AD-38 constituents. My opponent seems to think democracy is a joke. On June 23, voters can decide whether they think it’s funny.

It's one week before early voting in NYC and you are trying to figure out who and what are on your ballot. It's super easy! Go to vote.nyc and click on "Find your poll site" and enter your address. You can see your early voting and election day poll sites. And you can download a sample ballot.
