Huge progress on my 3D modeling here! Full torso with arms and legs, currently at just 142 polygons. Gonna add more detail later and of course the head/hands/feet are gonna be complicated, but this is still the best I've done before! I'll add some curves later 😏

Using lists of three is not an "AI tell." It's a common trait in human writing because our brains biologically want to make sure there's always one thing to marry, one thing to fuck, and one thing to murder.

What a great piece of writing here. I’be been feeling something similar to a note Abram hits: surrendering ourselves to the experience at hand regardless of whether or not it’s actually resonating can be meaningful and additive. Immersion and exposure can bring us closer to an experience, bonding ♥️

I truly feel for kids growing up now who will have to unlearn using AI, but if you've been writing for more than 2 years it is the easiest thing in the world to just Keep Doing The Thing You Did and ignore AI tools!! It makes me feel crazy that people act like this isn't the case!!!

it's actually sad as hell to use AI for research when research is the fun part. you can just email people and call them on the phone and ask them questions about the thing that they have expertise in. you can read documents & learn cool shit. ok now i'm just talking about how being a reporter is fun

I used to do some work on the ethical use of satellite and drone imagery for aid and disaster response, and it is genuinely hard to express in words what a dangerous, stupid thing Google is doing by making it easy to use GenAI to create faked satellite imagery:

Personally I will just continue to prove that I don't use AI by simply not creating dogshit thoughtless text conveying zero information in the guise of syntactically valid English—do you really think anyone is gonna look at that em dash here and think "oh yeah man, a computer CAN be that bitchy"
