At least this level of crime only happens on bank holiday weekends and not the rest of the time eh, because if it didn't, it would look a lot like a wreckless lack of resources and enforcement problem for public safety.

Every time a new supermarket outlet opens in Ireland, there's a big article in the local paper about the jobs that will be created (but nothing about the jobs lost in local butchers, greengrocers, bakeries etc., who they're targetting). And after the big announcement, they start replacing those jobs

This has to be clearly stated. As long as there are grazing animals such as sheep and deer on the hills, and invasive species such as Rhodo are not controlled, we won't have vegetation there which is naturally resistant to fire (in our type of climate). We need to be way smarter.

There’s been a significant pollution incident on the Tolka river. Grey brown effluent in the water and brown scum on the surface. I took these pics in the section between Blanch and Corduff but hearing there are dead fish in the river closer to Damastown.
