Reading the Rod Liddle tributes about what a great writer he was (he really really wasn’t, can’t emphasise that enough) and I keep thinking of the bit from Arrested Development. “He said some wonderful things” cut to: “Daddy horny, Michael”

Following Rod Liddle's death I've been thinking again about the often unacknowledged privilege in being able to see the words of a demagogue as just things you disagree with rather than things that threaten people.

The Times, one of the leading voices when it comes to 'protecting women and girls' calling a man who assaulted his young pregnant girlfriend, said he would rape the kids if he was a teacher and called for child sex abuse porn to be legal, 'brilliant'

Rod liddle had a police caution for domestic violence against his then pregnant girlfriend. He once wrote in one of his columns that he could never be a teacher because his urge to rape children was too strong. He is now dead. Obviously no kipper for him.

I think we need to actually restate how wild it is how much anti trans activism there is, and the extreme degree. We're getting two high court decisions on trans rights today alone that have huge consequences for trans people's lives (strip searching and puberty blockers). In one DAY
