People still call #LongCovid. a new illness that no one knows much about. Well lucky them choosing not to know about post-viral illness while millions of us have suffered and continue to suffer from #ME for decades. 80% of ME is post-viral maybe more, yet denial has been the norm for decades.

1) Dutch researchers compared muscle biopsies of ME/CFS and Long Covid patients to healthy participants who underwent 60 days of strict bed rest as part of a NASA study. A brief overview of how ME/CFS and LC differed from deconditioning...

🧠 What if #LongCovid is, in part, a disorder of dopamine? Our new commentary explores how disrupted dopamine signaling may help explain fatigue, brain fog, and autonomic dysfunction, and what this could mean for future therapies. Open access link: shorturl.at/vLAfU

"Our findings provide compelling evidence that long COVID involves the loss of dopamine-releasing neurons," says Dr. Jeffrey Meyer, senior scientist at the Brain Health Imaging Center, Canada Research Chair medicalxpress.com/news/2026-07...

1) 🇧🇪 In Belgium, the Federal Knowledge Centre (KCE) published a 144-page report on ME/CFS. It measured the healthcare needs and priorities of ME/CFS patients (shown in the graph below) and recommends investments in research and specialist centres for ME/CFS.

I found LDN life-changing. I'm an adult, and they started me at 1.5 mg, and I wanted to die. It was so terrible. I endured, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Medical people scoffed that it couldn't be so awful since it's a micro-dose, but the horror...

"A recent preprint study of LDN in children and adolescents with Long COVID that started a treatment regimen at 1.5 mg had a 25% rate of medication discontinuation attributed to side effects" Read full letter: patientresearchcovid19.com/storage/2026...

Large study (av age 45) shows people with #LongCovid are 4.48x more likely to have a Major Adverse Cardiovascular Event (stroke, pulmonary embolism, heart failure) & 53% more likely to die. True regardless of age, BMI, vaccination, variant. Risks last 3+ years from infection. 1/

The scope of long COVID is bigger than we think, Mass. researchers say

The disease has always been tricky to define. A study from Mass General Brigham suggests the healthcare system is missing millions of long COVID cases.
