That's what taxes are, man. That's the definition of taxes. "You are subsidizing things you might never use" man shut the fuck up. My taxes currently subsidize like oil company exec private jets, you think I'm upset at low-income people eating inexpensive bananas?

I love my government. My 401(k) from an old employer did a true-up after I moved all the funds. If I want to transfer $3 to my IRA, #fidelity wants $25. Both accounts are at Fidelity. If this was a personal account, there would be no fee.
I'm trying to play the re-re-make of Halo CE on Xbox, and the spoken audio is all garbled with the default settings through a home theatre system (only 3.1). I had to put the audio through the tv speakers only... Typical #microslop, but I hope it gets fixed. What a bad experience during an intro.
Whoever designed the Amazon package update emails needs to fix it. I understand them not wanting to potentially spoil a surprise, but telling me my package with "2 music, 1 musical instruments is arriving tomorrow" makes me think someone hacked my account. They're guitar picks!

Women really just aren’t angry enough. We played by the rules then once we get good at the game, they change the rules & turn all of our previous assets into liabilities. The goal posts are constantly being moved. The game is rigged against us by the bros that be. I’m tired of playing their game.

I appreciate that this is framed properly as misconfigured environments and poor instruction following by AI not burgeoning super-intellligence.

This was a fascinating exercise: find out what went wrong with creativity in the games industry. The conclusion: there are too many cowards controlling too many critical levers, and until we figure out how to put people -taste, creativity, and craft- back at the top, we're going to be stuck.

I found out my issue with WSL hanging-- Docker Desktop has a "resource saver" mode that gets enabled if it is not running any containers. Once I disable that, WSL unfreezes. It's apparently a known bug.

Anthropic will pay $3,000 per work across ~500,000 works ($1.5 billion) to settle claims it illegally downloaded them to train Claude. Ironic given Anthropic’s recent complaints about others training on its work.
