Happy World Cat Day 🐈   Cats have been making appearances in books, manuscripts and illustrations for centuries.   Here are some of our favourites from the collection... and some of our favourite attempts at cats...   Which one's your favourite?

Moved a year and a half ago. Found my metal metre ruler today. Removal men were smart to do this so it didn’t get bent. They might have told me though.

Full-time students shouldn't have to work whilst studying. It affects how they engage with and focus on their studies, and their mental health. Holding down jobs and producing academic work puts pressure on. It also might explain why so many students use AI.

Your fact of the day: Adrian Bell was the first cryptic crossword setter for the Times. Martin Bell, his son, was THE Martin Bell - legendary BBC journalist and (briefly) independent MP. But know who Adrian's DAUGHTER was? Anthea Bell, the translator of Asterix comics into English.
