And all this other stuff! Paid family leave! The trans refuge law! Marijuana legalization! Carbon-free electricity by 2040! Like I don't expect Klobuchar to be a progressive champion. But I don't think she'll veto great legislation the DFL sends to her desk, either.

I'm not excited by Amy Klobuchar, but I'm excited to vote for her. Not just because her opponent is awful, but because I think we can regain the trifecta, and I remember the good and crucial work the DFL did last time they had it. Like free meals at school, in the news today.

This is great. I hope more vendors participate next year. Curious if Sweet Martha's donated ingredients (flour, sugar, eggs, etc), or cookie dough, or both. I'm not opposed to any of the options. Bread and roses and all that.

Every one of those brave and inspiring people you hear about on the news was exhausted and terrified the whole time. They were sad and angry and wanted to crawl into a hole and not come out. They wished they could have stayed in bed. Then they did it anyway. But they did it scared and sad and tired.

The answer to "why does everything suck now" almost ALWAYS goes back to "venture capital." Which goes back to "a lot of people have too much money and don't know what to do with it." Which goes back to: "We need to tax rich people more." It's like it's the solution to 99% of our problems!!

The WHCA dinner is not a government function. So what I don't get is, is he planning to rent out the ballroom for private functions? Can I rent the White House too? What are the rates? Who pays for the sharpshooters on the roof? Do I have to invite the president? I have so many questions.
