One reason why back in 2020 I thought Starmer should bring in a PLP social media code of conduct is to minimise the amount of, frankly, pointless hassle, that microblogging causes parties.

Seen a few people saying rough sleeping policy isn’t aimed at median public concern. Quite apart from any policy/moral imperative it really is - rough sleeping comes up time again in focus groups as one of the most visible signs of Broken Britain and community decline!

It should have been a point of principle not to give her a job. Aside from the economic stupidity and immorality of the crusade she led at the Home Office, she symbolises the political failure that landed Labour in its current predicament, without which Burnham would not have had his opportunity.

I just feel like constantly, endlessly moving ministers around – especially the handful who are clearly on top of their brief and delivering – is one of the reasons that our country suffers. Nobody gets the chance to learn their trade.
