The thing with polling is people keep trying to use it for things it isn’t good at nor useful for. Not surprisingly, the people that do them for research have noticed many of the problems pointed out by amateurs- many of the complaints about polls in this thread are things actively being discussed…

So many sneering elitist journalists with snarky posts over the past months that the Reflecting Pool story was trivial. It was so trivial that the DC US Attny presented false evidence to a grand jury to indict an innocent man to please the President while they both lied about it.

This is not the first time we’ve seen countries weaponize 3rd country migration by saying give us what we want or we’ll let the migrants into your country. Hungary did this recently, and so did Cuba during the boatlift etc. Make no mistake, no one cares about the migrants in these situations.

🤔 49,000, huh? And Morocco didn't notice this caravan of humanity until they reached the walls of Ceuta? As you read more stories about this crisis, keep in mind that migration has long been used as a hybrid warfare tactic to destabilize/bring down states, strain borders, & sow political discord.

"When “I don’t know how to convince you that you’re supposed to care about other people” became not just an occasional event in our lives, but multiple times a day, from all angles, including people we’re supposed to trust (like leadership and doctors and in our intimate circle) it created chaos.

Wow! ICE’s airport arrests of people seemingly waiting in government immigration backlogs caught up a Fulbright scholar and public health researcher working at Johns Hopkins in their public health department. Not exactly the “worst of the worst”! Yet they threw her in detention anyway.
