Working on the barbershop quartet romance is just such a joy. I have geeky little references and Easter eggs to barbershop culture and history everywhere and they make me happy. I hope someone reads it and gets some of them.

Y'all. I'm writing. Daily. I'm 14,500 words into writing an ACTUAL BOOK. Do I want to pursue trad publication again? I mean, probably yeah, but I want to have a clearer road map of what type of writing career I want. But first, finish this book. (But I'm scribbling notes for others, OMG!)

And I was raised in New England. I know that I was taught in elementary school that the Bad Folks in the South wanted to continue slavery so all the Good Folks in the North fought them over it, but if you're older than 9 & that is still the framework you're bringing to politics, we have issues.

This mass courtship event typically marks the beginning of Waymo mating season, and the general public is advised to avoid approaching them or their young and maintaining a safe distance at all times as they can get even more unpredictable in their behaviour towards humans at this time

Dozens of empty Waymos invaded an Atlanta neighborhood and circled a cul-de-sac for hours with no passengers www.wsbtv.com/news/local/a...

The number of people I went to high school (class of '89) and college with who later came out as queer (including me) is honestly shocking. We were all there. We were either closeted or hadn't realized who we were yet--because that level of exploration wasn't discussed at all.

“If you went to high school in the 60s, 70s, or 80s, how many students with gender dysphoria did you know?” Get out of here with that. Literally die in an actual fire. How many people were out as gay then, let alone trans? How many people thought quietly that they were freaks & never spoke up? Die.

This is gonna sound weird, but I think I finally managed to stumble into reading the type of books I should be writing, instead of trying to write the books I THINK I should be writing.

I made Lacey Ostermann's easy Dutch oven bread and uh. Holy Oven Spring, Batman. I'm very curious what's going on inside there with the crumb, but I have to wait until dinner. 😭

A very large loaf of Dutch oven bread. Like, it filled a 5qt Dutch oven.
