Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.

Please give this a read, vibe coded trash is a very real problem in the fan-port/recomp scene and it's not just pushing non-functional garbage into unsuspecting users and thus hurting the scene's image but also heavily discouraging developers who work on real fan-projects that actually work.

Kotaku parading that garbage "recompilation" Generation 1 Pokémon project is genuinely upsetting. I was hoping the communities would reject vibe coded garbage, but these people are now intentionally hiding the usage and even lying that it's hand-written to peddle their slop onto others.

Youki Konpaku is one of the funniest bits of Touhou lore because he gets roughly two sentences in the Touhou 7 text file, and then in an online Q&A someone asked to know a bit more about him and ZUN's answer was just telling everyone how much he sucks and that things are better now that he's gone

I think it's important for Touhou fans to try and absorb at least a good amount of knowledge of the official works and their stories because: 1. it's the most reliable common basis for how we can interpret and discuss the series with each other 2. ZUN writes some funny-ass shit

The English translation for Fantasy Maiden Wars is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch! It will be available on the Nintendo E-shop starting from the 30th of July. Do note that the English translated version will be separate from the Japanese version, not an update.
