We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one.

Attention anti-tax politicians: even in red states voters know the money has to come from somewhere. They even understand the difference between progressive and regressive taxation. I mean REALLY.

Voters overwhelmingly rejected the measure, which would have authorized lawmakers to replace lost income tax revenue by driving up sales taxes. The result is a loss for Gov. Mike Kehoe, a Republican who prioritized the measure, and the Republican-led Legislature, which put it on the ballot.Election map showing "no" carried EVERY MISSOURI COUNTY, heavily

TODD BLANCHE: Rest assured that we’re working hand in hand with HHS and the FDA and the White House and President Trump’s team to get permanent solutions so that the Dobbs decision becomes permanent in every single state.

The GOP plans to cut Tarrant County's Election Day voting sites in half. One Democratic candidate for Texas House: a "voter suppressed, racially gerrymandered, poll cutting" county that sends letters to living people and declares them dead so they can't vote. The GOP can't win unless they cheat.

Amazon will spend $200B this year on AI infrastructure — including data centers — while forging ahead with over 30,000 layoffs. And don't forget: the company paid nearly $8B less in taxes last year thanks to Trump's big ugly bill. This is what corporate greed looks like.

Booker: "Ghislaine Maxwell is sitting in the lowest possible confinement after giving no information that helped us get one more investigation started and has been silent, and the man responsible for that we're about to make the attorney general of the US ... this is farcical."

The NAACP has released a statement while the Tarrant County Commissioners Court considers a proposal today that would cut the number of Election Day polling locations nearly in half "Let's call this what it is… voter suppression"

Tarrant County, Texas, could see around 50 percent fewer polling locations in November's election.

"Let's call this what it is… voter suppression," said NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson. "Cutting nearly half the places where people can cast a ballot doesn't save democracy money, it costs voters their voice. Tarrant County is home to a significant number of Black and Latino voters and is a majority people-of-color county. There is no question that this plan strips away polling access on a scale that will hit Black and Brown voters hardest. That is not a coincidence. It’s an intentional assault on our ability to make our voices heard and we will push back with every tool available.”

#IAGov candidate Zach Lahn just admitted that he has no clue what Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill did to healthcare in Iowa — even after it put the insurance of over 110,000 Iowans at risk. "You know, just to be clear on the federal legislation, I haven't dug into all that."

Whitehouse: "Today I think is a sad and embarrassing day for this committee as it looks like on a party-line vote we are going to advance out of this committee probably the most discreditable person ever to seek the office of attorney general. Let's start with the Epstein files ... "

Whitehouse: "Next we get to this crooked slush fund Trump family tax amnesty scam. We've got these two new pieces of paper. One signed only by Blanche, one not signed by anybody. Neither of which has any legal effect whatsoever. They are decorative. Can you trust Todd Blanche? I do not."

A Russian drone completely burned down the Holy Protection Church (Sviato-Vvedenska) in Boryslav, Kherson region, built in 1726. The church was an architectural monument of national significance and one of the few surviving examples of Cossack wooden sacral architecture.
