Isn't it weird that this week a currently sitting president had to pay a woman MILLIONS of dollars for *raping* (and defaming) her—and the media has forgotten all about it? There was a time that this would have been the ONLY story—until the rapist was driving from office.

The bloated format, the treatment of Iran, hydration breaks and now Flo Balogun, there’s an underlining grubbiness to this World Cup, a sense of principals and values being violated at constant intervals. The football’s been good but hard to shake the feeling that the sooner it’s over, the better.
