Studying mitochondrial signaling and metabolism in the Chandel Lab at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS or other (non-LCH) dendritic or histiocytic sarcomas cases.

Our lab's latest study, spearheaded by a fantastic colleague, Colleen, reveals that the blood glucose-lowering effect of metformin requires the inhibition of mitochondrial ETC complex I. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/.... An insightful focus by Prof. Doug Green: bit.ly/41Hc4fX
