someone in NY/NJ pls get to Jordan’s house, he is clearly experiencing an emergency
I remain so energized from Monday’s Rush concert that I am considering reading Ayn Rand’s ‘Anthem’
Absolutely agree with the overall question but the specific GREASE blu in question seems like an in-joke.
Why? Why must everything we enjoy be sealed up with a "grade"? I get baseball cards being put in plastic because you can still enjoy both sides of the card. But a Blu-ray?
BrooklynVegan, Alt Press, et al being unceremoniously shut down by a company owned by the guys from Good Charlotte that’s also owned by Live Nation is a plot that would happen in a direct to video sequel to Richie Rich.
I don’t need a push alert when a plane comes “less than a mile” from the President’s helicopter. If the plane bisects the helicopter then we’re in business. *I’m* less than a mile from a passenger jet right now and I’m sitting in my house. Get serious and stop wasting my time
So many people buying on FB marketplace will message that they're here, then sit in their car. They don't knock or ring the bell. Then they're mad when I don't realize they've been out there for five minutes.
Quite an upset in the #KSGov Dem primary. State Sen. Cindy Holscher, who came out against data centers and the Kansas City Chiefs stadium deal, has defeated state Sen. Ethan Corson, who had a big financial edge and an endorsement from term-limited Gov. Laura Kelly.
A good movie that deserved more than what Amazon gave it from the beginning, now this ignominius ghosting.
Went to go rewatch The Vast of Night, only to discover that they took it off Amazon Prime… the service that released it exclusively. So now it’s literally just not available anywhere. Good times.
Killing Moon in DONNIE DARKO is an all-time needle drop, sets that movie up in seconds.
Name your fav use of licensed music in a soundtrack: bad to the bone in T-2 starless by King crimson in Mandy spybreak in the matrix gut feeling in life aquatic the killing moon in Donnie Darko stigmata martyr in night of the demons tumbling lights by the acid in the eyes of my mother
this is kind of driving me nuts because an "era" is basically a rebranded "album cycle" and, I dunno, half of all major musicians since the late 60s have reinvented their image/style to varying degrees from release to release and created "lore" for fans to decode? www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...
Forget Albums—Pop Stars Measure Their Careers in Eras Now
Since the earthshaking success of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, artists from the Weeknd to Ariana Grande have tried to imbue their live shows with a sense of history.

Spent all day with this live Sonny Rollins disc on good headphones. Incredible. New master from first-gen tapes and I swear you can hear Sonny's heart beating. Cannot remember the last time I could hear grunts and breathing and little stage asides the way this captures. Gorgeous, alive.

Feel like you never hear about $ (1971), aka DOLLARS, except for nods to Quincy Jones's highly-sampled score, because it doesn't hold together. Akin to an OCEANS caper long before Soderbergh grabbed a camera. But it's a mess. On the other hand, it does have Goldie Hawn and Warren Beatty.
help I’ve had a Wildhearts song in my head for three days help

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better
If you make sweatpants that cost more than $75 but the drawstring still has to be fished out after a wash, straight to The Hague.
Whatever you do don’t take me to The Island from The Prisoner! I’d hate to live in a cool rent free apartment full of bold late 60s modern furniture haha noooo a bubble don’t chase me haha
This is one of my favourite ever comics panels for reasons that I feel need no explanation
I dig this one, though I think that's because I am incredibly biased toward Roy Scheider and Warren Oates
Watching BLUE THUNDER (1983). Incredible that they made a movie about pervy LA helicopter cops, maybe the least-liked people in society, and got away with it by casting Roy Scheider and Daniel Stern.
The Disneyland pass in Roy Scheider's girlfriend's car is very good set dressing. But then she does a u-turn to drive the wrong way on a one-way street with her son sitting in the front seat! All to justify her being part of a car chase later on. OK, fine, BLUE THUNDER rules.

Nothing to add to this story but this guy looks like a character who would romance Mary Jane before being revealed as a minor Spidey villain like The Kangaroo or Big Man.
Despite its success, Electronic Arts rewarded some of those who made Battlefield 6 by laying them off. It's a different story for EA CEO Andrew Wilson.
When you slow down and think about it you realize it's ten times worse than it seems. Sure it's farcical, but it's also a brutal legal attack on a man they knew to be innocent, done to distract from their own thievery and incompetence and as a flex to terrify anyone who might make them look bad.
It is very weird that they just lie about normal people and then it’s not a scandal when they admit it
