I've got something in my brain about #ttrpg players and parasocial relationships, but I'm not in the right headspace. We've all witnessed the rise in a parasocial relationship with D&D5e alone, buoyed by Critical Role and a few key others. But that pales in the shadow of Vampire: The Masquerade.

I swear that "If Al disappeared tomorrow, could you still get through an entire workday without ChatGPT?" post getting reshared has done me actual psychic damage. Just knowing that there's folk out there genuinely asking a question like that, actually believing people can't function... It's a lot.

15. If you haven't read them, pick up one of the Tove Jansson's Moomin novels. Particular favorite of mine is Moominpappa at Sea, which is pretty melancholic story where Moominpappa suffers from middle-age crisis and moves the family to lighthouse. It's a book about loneliness and I adore it.

Anyone else who's been kicked up on to Android 17 these past couple of weeks figure out which hidden always on probably AI shite is draining the battery? Was fine before, only needed charging every couple of days with moderate use & capped at 80%, now since updating it's skirting 20% each evening.

I notice Anne says "recognizable" rather than good, striking, inspiring etc. So my answer is Greg Land. Because it's not going that the top of anyone's list, but that "I've traced a porn star" get the issue out the door workhorse sameface style is instantly recognizable.
