"Trump has moved the ethical line" drives me crazy. It pretends there are no other actors with agency in 🇺🇸 politics or the media. You could have treated this as a nonstop five-alarm scandal & crisis for democracy. You didn't do that. You did for EMAIL & BIDEN OLD. Other choices were right there.

I'm of two minds. I think the constant desire to find some magical neutral savior is self-destructive and short-sighted. On the other hand, negative polarization is a hell of a drug and we can probably throw jobs and money at everyone Trump has fucked over to great effect.
