New paper alert! 🚨 We independently evaluated the Pupil Neon mobile eye-tracker against the Eyelink 1000 Plus across 10 oculomotor tasks. Good: It hits ~1.45° accuracy and is incredibly stable over time without calibration. Bad: It cannot detect microsaccades. OA: doi.org/10.1525/coll... 🧵👇

We’ve known for a while that ‘brain training’ rarely leads to any transferable benefits in things beyond the trained task… but this new study takes it a step further and finds no neural (as well as behavioural) changes. ‘Brain training’ doesn’t even change the brain! www.nature.com/articles/s41...
