There's a special place in hell for conspiracy theorists around someone's suicide. Not only are you infantalizing someone who already suffered by taking away their final agency, you're attacking someone they loved who is already grieving and will for the rest of their life.
With the HP trailer dropping tomorrow, here's the whole deal: If you watch the show, hell even just the trailer, I will think less of you. I will dislike you. I will think you don't care about trans people. That's it. It's been years. There's no wiggle room. No qualifiers. You care or you don't.

A broader takeaway I think is nobody should be allowed to be so rich that being told no, or being held accountable, represents such a moral injury to that person's psyche that they feel like their only recourse is to burn the world down.
I hate that the debate we are constantly having in the 21st century is "we have to let the most evil fuckers alive do whatever the hell they want VS no we don't"

Andrew Karre@andrewkarre.bsky.social · 6mo agoThis is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
I feel like if I were more charismatic/an activist, I'd be trying to activate people on rank choice voting. Because clearly the "hold your nose and vote Democrat to stop Republicans" isn't working for people, so we need to change the system. They don't get dominance anymore.
