If AI hurts us wouldn't, for example, Internet Search Engines hurt us in exactly the same way? We've all been using those for decades. Extending the same idea would seem to apply to nearly any new technology, like cell phones or email or whatever.

The MAGA who regret voting for Trump, will 100% vote for the next Trump regardless of how much of a racist bigot he is. They haven't actually learned their lesson. They're just mad they're getting hurt too. These people didn't vote FOR Trump, they voted AGAINST vulnerable communities.

IMO the worst mistake people make trying to AI-proof their career is dropping everything to learn AI. It's like dropping out of math to study how to push calculator buttons really fast. The skill cap for AI is going to be your understanding of the underlying subject, not how good you are at prompts.
