Apple only took 24 hours to approve my iOS app update that crashed instantly on launch. Such a blessing to have that extra level of reliability and security that only a manual review process can provide 🙏

wild stuff, they basically said "solve this 30-year-old math problem, make no mistakes"
Here are 58 words of prompts to GPT-5.6 Pro that got the model to discover that the long-standing Dinitz-Garg-Goemans conjecture is false. Increasingly, prompt crafting is over-rated, ask for what you want. (Which itself can be a hard problem)

Nearly everyone I see online complaining about passkeys is a 1Password user. The Apple Passwords experience is so, so much smoother. At least, for now. The 1Password folks are working on integrating into macOS more smoothly and natively. Browser extensions for credential management are a miss.
I haven’t put much effort into it, but I suspect it has to do with how sites handle failures/retries. 1password browser extension is often locked. Passkey fails first time, hopeless confusion/failure ensues. All I really know is: it doesn’t work, and I’m sick of fighting it.
If you're European, you now have a great and well-funded PDS in EU soil, governed by EU laws, run by awesome folks. Moving your account to Eurosky is easy, and you won't notice the difference afterwards. Please take a few minutes and do the jump 🇪🇺
What a day! Did we mention that today was the day we removed invites from Eurosky accounts? Anyone can create an account straight away.
This DJ set by Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk) and Fred Again is *sublime* and I can already tell it’s going to be one of my most listened in 2026. Enjoy it (and check the tracklist and notes from Fred Again in the comments because they make the video even better) www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfF8...

Google is now screwing with the 10 blue links in traditional search and rewriting headlines - including ours - to be the worst kind of slop. This sucks so bad www.theverge.com/tech/896490/...
A $499 MacBook Neo with the brains of a couple-year-old iPhone can run Xcode, Photoshop, Blender, Terminal, and pretty much everything else you can think of, yet your $3,200 iPad Pro, with a desktop-class chip, cannot 😑 What are we doing here?

Roadmap for improving the type checker
Roadmap for improving the type checker In the past, we've released various "manifestos" and "roadmaps" to discuss planned improvements to the language. This post is also a roadmap of sorts, but instead, the focus is on the implementation rather than user-visible language changes (however, I will briefly mention a few potential language changes at the very end). Specifically, I'm going to talk about some work we are doing to improve expression type checking in the Swift compiler. This includes c...
