The answer to "why does everything suck now" almost ALWAYS goes back to "venture capital." Which goes back to "a lot of people have too much money and don't know what to do with it." Which goes back to: "We need to tax rich people more." It's like it's the solution to 99% of our problems!!

So much optics around "charity" (white saviourism) persist because the basis of so many settler institutions is that they help the less fortunate. They need lumpen to condemn and save simultaneously (More love/hate ambivalence)

Is really just them expressing they want to segregate out lumpen. Only certain ppl who live up to arbitrary expectations are worthy. (Usually not including disabled lumpen who can't work)
