I’m happy to announce the release of a new open source 3D physics engine called Box3D. I’ve been working on this project for a few years now, but it represents over 20 years of experience writing physics engines for games. Read more here: box2d.org/posts/2026/0...

Discourse deliberately steers into the most useless intractable not-even-wrong framing that can be generated for any given issue. The meme doesn’t want the problem solved. If the problem were solved, people would stop propagating the meme. The meme wants to propagate.

“Europe needs air conditioning” is true, but it also feels like a talking point explicitly constructed so that people don’t have to pay attention to the effects of rapid climate change.

The only way for books to survive is for everyone to write them in universally formatted paragraphs so readers can collect and order the paragraphs themselves. Imagine paying $5 “but then he woke up. It was all just a bad dream!” so that you can fix the ending of any story.

My biggest issue with Unreal ditching Blueprints isn't about if Blueprints is good or not. Unreal already removed one scripting system (UnrealScript) and replaced it with Blueprints claiming it was a huge improvement, etc. etc. Now they are going back to just text scripting with nothing visual?

Seeing a lot of my least favorite social media here on BlueSky lately: An ignorant person talking-down to those with actual skills, experience and accomplishments by repeating idiotic internet memes I left twitter to get away from these people.

Did you know that any language can be bound to control the Godot game engine? Here's a quick test setup with minc running the game loop, drawing a mc test cube. All scripted in minc, no godot editor used. Running on macOS.

part of source code used to run minc code inside godot game engine. a godot game window with a test cube is visible on the right.

Quote with a little-known game you would recommend. INFRA: You're an engineer tasked with fixing failing infrastructure around the city while uncovering buried secrets. Bring machines and pumps back online before the city crumbles around you.

Recently I ran across a novice artist who was trying to pass off AI slop as their own hand-drawn work. Just don’t. We can all tell. Your integrity and vision are worth more than a shortcut. If you aren’t happy with your own ability, put the time in to get better.

Duskers is getting a sequel! 10 years later 😅 The Steam post has more info, including the new teaser trailer - featuring the voice of Deonte (our producer). You can even wishlist it on Steam if you're into that sorta thing 😉 steamcommunity.com/games/254320...

Hugely sad. We've lost John Blanche. It's hard to know where to begin. He set fire to a generation's imagination, and those fires show no sign of stopping burning. His work very much illuminated the darkness.
