Everything is risograph and cyanotype and fermentation. It's clear that AI slop and accelerationist destruction are prompting the seemingly ubiquitous resurgence of interest in these slow, organic, manual processes.
@abdulelsayed.bsky.social triumphing over something like $60 million, $32-ish million of it AIPAC money, is not a "narrow" victory, it's a people's earthquake. This kind of spending is oligarchy in action, to smother democracy through its formal channels, and is getting normalized. Still he won.

imdb doesn’t care how many times i hit unsubscribe. it is back in my inbox telling me to watch five new shows this month. it is back in my inbox telling me it has my list of new obsessions as if it knows me. imdb doesn’t care that i think it’s ugly, it just keeps coming back to offer me itself.

AI companies are trying to do this, but with human knowledge. It's why they're destroying the books. Wipe out our ability to think for ourselves, then own the means of thinking.
Is everyone aware of the General Motors streetcar conspiracy? In the mid-20th century, auto and oil interests bought up electric streetcar systems across the US and systematically replaced them with bus routes and paved roads, funneling commuters toward private cars.
growing up i was such a fuckin grammar cop and it carried over into adulthood and now due to the proliferation of LLMs i go "thank god this chick can't spell for shit" when i'm going through some coder's documentation
By the way COVER LETTERS: Name, story title, wordcount. Nothing else matters at this stage, so don't stress! WORDCOUNT STRICTNESS: Extremely so. One word below 4000 is a rejection, at the other end we allow up to 100 words of elasticity if you really need it but 6101 or higher is also a rejection.

It's also just wild as a farmer. Nearly everyone who's left of center & wants to do agriculture, wants to do a "cute little farm. Because big farms are bad!!" Thus leaving the actual food supply, AND RURAL EMPLOYMENT, entirely in the hands of reactionaries. And we wonder why we keep losing!
I found this fascinating. I don't think I've ever seen a Museum publicly list the costs of an exhibition before. www.artnews.com/art-in-ameri... - It's actually super helpful for people to see what it takes.

We didn’t see the cyclops’s penis in the Odyssey because it would have two penis holes and that would scare the public into riots and unrest
Not enough is written about the fact that in the US, any spiteful lunatic can launch a family-destroying machine at virtually anybody with a single phone call and a few made-up allegations. And a similar machine can be called to launch a heavily-armed murder squad at ANYONE, even those without kids.
Exclusive: Officials relied on a vague and unsubstantiated allegation to separate Pete Buttigieg from his young twins last month. Previously unreported police records, obtained by The Post, and an interview with the apparent complainant offer the most detailed account yet: wapo.st/4wt1Zjs

I wrote a comedy textbook about Native American history, people and culture! It's called “We’ve Been Here The Whole Time! A Not So Sacred Guide to All Things Native America.” It’s like if The Daily Show or The Onion wrote a book about Indian Country.

I Roved Out is wonderful. It's described as 'warmly pornographic' and I can't think of a better description. Lewd, funny, with deep, almost incomprehensible high fantasy lore and characters who clearly love each other even when getting on each other's nerves. Highly recommended.
alright, got my storyboards and my layouts, gonna get some noodles and beer then it's a straight line to the end of Tome 4. Won't be coming out as fast as AHS but I'll be posting pages as I finish them!
SVU character: I'm NOT gay. I have relationships with women... and SEX with men. Woke Ice T: That's normal. I'm not going to put a label on you right now
All the most evil people alive today are working very hard to keep people scared of socialist organizations. Something to think about, why literally all the world's most evil people agree on and are terrified of that one specific thing.
