Tom is my friend and--despite his piece in The Millions to the contrary--I will buy and read his upcoming book. Also, if you're reading this and Tom's book (described below) sounds interesting, you should also read his novel How to Be Safe. It is extremely funny and of the moment.

Very happy to finally be able to share the news that my next novel, REVEAL!, will be published by @quirkbooks.bsky.social in Spring 2028. It is a fun, wild, weird book. Incredibly grateful to my agent @tommydeanwriter.bsky.social for making this happen.

REVEAL! By Tom McAllister
Imprint: Quirk Books
Author of HOW TO BE SAFE Tom McAllister's REVEAL!, a humorous locked island murder-mystery narrated by an unborn baby, who somehow gives us a tour of a gender-reveal party from hell with dancing whales, a poisoned nepo influencer, and a husband and wife catering team who are in over their heads, to Randall Lotowycz at Quirk Books, in a nice deal, for publication in spring 2028, by Tommy Dean while at Rosecliff Literary (world).

"Tulsky was born in Philadelphia, growing up a sports fan. He'd watch Mike Schmidt and the Phillies at The Vet and still lets an occasional "Go Birds!" slip out during NFL season." Congratulation to Eagles fan / analytics nerd Eric Tulsky on his first Stanley Cup. www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/...

How the Hurricanes' jock-nerd alliance won the Stanley Cup

Coach Rod Brind'Amour and GM Eric Tulsky blended the perfect recipe, creating a team that won its first Cup in 20 years -- and will be back for more.

I do kind of hope that he gets the ballroom built so the next president can rename it the E. Jean Carroll Ballroom

Trump's ballroom symbolizes his "effort to replace the old republican regime with an imperial one," writes @billkristolbulwark.bsky.social, but it also reflects a psychological drive to build monuments to himself, fearing history won't recognize his greatness. 1/ www.thebulwark.com/p/whose-hous...

Robert Kraft not making the Hall of Fame is fine. And it happens every year! the bar for an owner to make it should be ludicrously high like changing the sport. (No, Jerry Jones shouldn't have made it either)

In 2012, Philly.(com) hosted a happy hour for local bloggers. I didn’t know anyone, but everyone there knew everyone else. Maybe Dan sensed that (?), so he shot the shit w/me & introduced me to some others including the sports editor who eventually gave me my first big break. He was the nicest dude.

Folks should be very careful on Tuesday to not spread rumors or AI slop. No one should deter voters from showing up. But if you *do* see something, document it. Take pictures and video. And then lawyers like me can take all necessary steps to protect voters from intimidation.

Dean Obeidallah@deanobeidallah.bsky.social · 9mo ago

If ICE agents begins harassing voters on the way to vote on Tuesday, we need local prosecutors to charge the ICE officers with state law crimes. We need to send a message for 2026 that they will be swiftly arrested.

What people have so easily forgotten is that the language banning the tush push was the best argument against banning it. If you think it is hard to enforce now, wait until you see the new rule.
