Breslow on Rutschman's injury declines to provide a timetable for his return until he's with the Sox trainers and doctors, but Rutschman told Breslow he's optimistic about his improvement.

I have seen his in awhile, but the Blake Shelton one is on three out of every four commercial breaks.

Still, this is a startling turn of events involving the Sox and Mayer, whom the Sox wouldn't include in talks for Ketel Marte over the offseason.
Per @andrewbaggarly.bsky.social and @ken-rosenthal.bsky.social, the Red Sox are nearing a deal to send Marcelo Mayer to the Giants for LH reliever Erik Miller. Miller is a giant (6-ft-5, 269-pound) lefty who ranks in the 97th percentile in whiff percentage and 95th percentile in K rate (32%).
I think too many of y'all are sleeping on Adley Rutschman. Injuries are a concern, but he's a good defensive catcher with an above-average bat. Projections have him at a little over 4 WAR per 600 PAs. He can be not as good as you remember him and still be very good.
Their next phase of perverted loserdom is attempting to keep girls from playing sports. In the creepiest ways they can muster.

If you're a cis person insisting that the prospect of trans children playing youth sports is not only "a problem" but in fact one of the biggest problems we currently face as a nation, I'd be happy to introduce you to literally a million other things that should be worrying you more.
I would imagine trans people are tired of being content, debates, publicity, fodder, and launch pads for conservative careers. Questions like this don’t factor in their humanity first, it’s another way to talk around them.

Really curious what the Red Sox’ internal evaluation of Franklin Arias is. Do they think he’s future superstar? An excellent defender with slightly above-average bat? Or something else? To me, he’s not someone you part with for Zach Neto. But maybe they see him differently than we think?
