I put a lot of work into trying to understand the *intended* story for Zul'jan in Midnight, while also giving my critiques on how it glosses over a lot of more interesting topics. Hopefully both sides of the tale came across in a coherent fashion lol www.wowhead.com/news/was-zul...

Can’t help but point out that Tyrande is also in a heterosexual relationship which is probably why this side of her has been shown in game, several times, whereas Zul’jarra’s hasn’t even once.
silriven@silriven.bsky.social · 2w agoWoW is full of these moments, especially for the men. I get that it's higher risk for the women but there's got to be a middle ground. Tyrande got an entire vengeance arc and I think that largely was fine? She had good reason to be angry and she got to experience an entire spectrum of emotions.

silriven@silriven.bsky.social · 2w agoPart of the "fun" of having a stoic character in fiction is putting them in situations where that facade cracks, moments like that can say a lot about what's truly going on with that character and it also amps up the tension to whatever's happening, it's one of my favorite things, I love it.
Trying to write up a thing to sort out my thoughts on Zul'jarra. idk, just because it's a stereotype to portray women as overly emotional doesn't necessarily mean that having a female character be stoic at a key moment makes for a good story, imo that's throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Alright, alright, I'm back in WoW, I'm wrapping up my little tasks for the week, I'm noodling on my house. Everything got way less overwhelming when I finally accepted that I just needed to ignore Prey until I'm caught up on questing, rep, and meta achievements.
IMO the most true reading of Anduin IS understanding he is a bit of a freak underneath his seemingly charming + perfect surface, because I always think of these two internal dev lines from MoP:

READY FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AT BLIZZCON 2026-- Uh, I mean 2028. 🤔✨️ Laughs aside though... It's interesting to consider a patch with a lighter tone with a 'theme' and a raid with seemingly low stakes - I suppose the closest we've had to this the Argent Tournament, which was still very serious!
ASH@claretash.bsky.social · 2y agoUntil The Last Titan comes out in a few years time, I'm going to keep (half-jokingly) speaking this into existence: Wrathion and Anduin's wedding patch, "Binding of Heart" ✨ Including: Tie-in raid, 'fancy dress' tier sets, playing into the two gold rings in the background of the TLT logo, etc!
Went to go see Castle in the Sky today and there was a small but very enthusiastic crowd in the theater, it was amazing. All of the funny bits landed and everyone was so quiet for the serious moments during the third act, like when the choir music kicks in, it was like being in church.
My wonderful prints by @lynaiss.bsky.social arrived this week - they're incredibly beautiful and vibrant, and really do the artwork of the lads justice!! ❤️💙 Can't wait to get them framed!
I had leftover ingredients so I’m making slow cooker tacos again this week with different toppings. Also getting to enjoy my first Oktoberfest of the season 🥰
