🧑‍💻 Full Stack Engineer & Developer Educator

I am looking for a full-time job. Being independent in open source for 3.5+ years has been wonderful. I've gotten done most of the high-level goals I wanted to, and miss having people & structure around me. If you know of a role for a staff-level TypeScript+web developer, let me know! 🙂

Online on a weekend? You can grab access to my web components course for $25 today and tomorrow. Big ol’ discount. Use the code OCT25-26. (And as usual, if you need further accommodation, just use the email form and we’ll work it out.) scottjehl.com/learn/webcom...

I would love it if all operating systems (mobile or otherwise) supported toggling system authentication (biometric/password) when opening an app on a per app basis. No need for most app developers to even implement anything, and this would be a huge security boost for everyone.

I think one of the saddest things about being a millennial is remembering a time when technology was advancing in a way that made life better and easier and more exciting instead of actively, intentionally worse

ITS HAPPENING Firefox 127 shipped today making it the first browser to support Temporal - the new API for working with Dates, times, timezones + durations

Another exciting month of SeattleJS talks! Starting us off today is Evan from GenSX telling us about durable execution for AI workflows. Unlike other durable execution approaches, GenSX uses JSX!

Evan is in front of a massive tv with his slides containing a diagram talking about Durable Execution.

The Node.js Website Team has been busy 💪 Recent upgrades include pnpm adoption, API docs tooling migration, a new design system, and OpenNext deployment support. Leading to better speed, docs, and dev experience. More to come! ✨🐢 Huge shoutout and thanks to our website maintainers. 🧑‍💻
