Watching a Reel Big Fish reunion video and thinking about the RA who introduced me to them. He felt so much more mature than me in 1996, and now I realize he's probably just in his late 40s instead of his mid 40s like me.

“City officials announced Thursday that a contract with Flock Safety, a Georgia-based surveillance technology manufacturer, would not be renewed. Salem will also remove its currently installed Flock Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPRs).”

Salem joins list of Mass. communities to reject surveillance company over data concerns

City officials have said that the company’s cameras pose local data concerns that outweigh their assistance to law enforcement.

Audience culture is the worst it's ever been, I swear to god. People forgot how to act. I'm at the theater, trying to enjoy my show, which I've paid GOOD MONEY for, and these two old assholes are in the balcony heckling the life out of the poor bear onstage. Not letting him finish a single joke.

This is a wild tactic to use in 2026. A red scare worked when capitalism allowed a family of four to live on a single income and taxes paid for social programs. It doesn't work when families with multiple incomes struggle after the government paid the richest man in the world to cut social programs.

Scalise: "The Bolshevik takeover of the Democratic Party is in full swing, and communism is on the ballot this November"

I'll never say anything as funny as the 4-year-old girl I saw today walking on a beach, picking up a big, triangular piece of concrete, and shouting to her mom, "I found something! It's a *GIGANTIC* shark's tooth!"

MULDER [slapping down plane tix]: Hope you packed your rain coat, Scully. SCULLY: Seattle? Mulder it's the weekend, what- MULDER [handing her a file] Confirmed sightings, Scully. This is big SCULLY [eyes wide]: My God Mulder, what am I looking at here? MULDER: The locals are calling it.. JIMOTHY

A quick word on Taco Bell: That's where we found the suspected lettuce, and it's not bc Taco Bell is gross. It's bc Taco Bell is REALLY GOOD at tracing product! Keeping track of exactly where they got their ingredients, & exactly what restaurants each shipment of ingredients went to!

So, in this very real post from a very real guy who's doing fine, he's in a red and white checkered shirt, wearing an undershirt with a smaller red and white checker pattern and no collar. You know, like normal people do in any normal situation, let alone when they've been hospitalized for weeks.

A close-up of Mitch McConnell's collar, which is showing a very normal tiny red-and-white checker pattern that obviously no one would think is weird at all.

Mitch McConnell has released a photo and the first statement on his condition: "I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital. While receiving excellent care over the past several weeks, I’ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia."

I’m saddened to announce the passing of my work colleague, The Zodiac Killer. While we were often on opposing sides of the business, I always enjoyed his silly little scavenger hunts.

Tonight--as it does maybe twice a year--my brain has gifted me with a soft, simple chuckle in the form of a particular image: That of a normal, boring man, having just made an entire lasagna, only to find it gone, because the entire thing was eaten by his actual housecat.

"Got any ideas for that Beech-Nut Gum ad?" "I was thinking a circus clown and strong man sharing a couple sticks backstage." "And they're in love, right?" "Of course they're in love."

I've been trying to put my finger on what it is that I'm enjoying about Spider-Noir, since it's fairly by-the-books as a comic and a detective story. And it's that it's a very solid premise that everyone is treating very seriously, except Nicolas Cage, who's treating it like it's a comedy.

I walked in a Pride Parade today with my company, and a colleague hugged a friend he saw working the route. Which is totally normal without context, but my reaction was, "man, I don't care if you know that guy, why you hugging a cop at Pride?"

Sherlock Holmes: Moriarty, my one intellectual equal Moriarty: Holmes, my one nemesis, for you alone can match my genius Sherlock Holmes: let us settle this great game, this contest of wills, in the only way it is appropriate *two drunks kick each other in the stomach by a waterfall*
