I’m always worried my kids will need to make a diorama for school, but the one time they did, the school gave them a box! I just feel like I made a lot more dioramas, but also we didn’t have powerpoint back then.

It's important to do what's Sam's doing here and parsing the law & Constitution, but we must keep in view the forest: This is a huge advance in the US's transition into a presidential dictatorship. It gives the dictator effective authority to cancel laws by firing those tasked with enforcing them.
Sam Bagenstos@sbagen.bsky.social · 4w agoArticle II of the Constitution gives the President the duty ("he shall") to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." This is the opposite of that. Even if SCOTUS is right that he can fire agency heads for cause, SCOTUS didn't say he can shut down an agency created by Congress.
