Thanks to doomscrolling and TikTok, my partner no longer has the attention span to watch a TV show or film together. I spend most of the time explaining the plot or answering questions because they're on their phone instead. I used to enjoy watching TV with them, now I dread it.
Just noticed that I've got bees, as the wonderful and much missed Michael Wombat would say. Child is going back to bricks and mortar school tomorrow and whilst we're hoping that all goes well, we're also waiting for it to all go wrong. So many pivot points where a minor issue could mean disaster.

The world's most notorious custard-pie thrower is dead. What an obituary. He got Bernard-Henri Lévy seven times.
Oh, how exciting! I've been followed by Keanu Reeves' band. Totally likely.

Japan's 'polka dot queen' artist Yayoi Kusama dies aged 97. One of the world's most celebrated contemporary artists, Kusama channelled hallucinations and trauma into vibrant art featuring her trademark dots, nets and infinity motifs over a career spanning decades u.afp.com/SVY4
Every day since I booked a ticket to see Duran Duran, I've heard them on the radio. Today: The Reflex. Probably the first time I heard about Renoir. Duran Duran = educational
I've introduced quite a few colleagues to the acronym SEP.
"That's what SEP means. Somebody Else's Problem. The brain just edits it out, it's like a blind spot. If you look at it directly you won't see it unless you know precisely what it is. Your only hope is to catch it by surprise out of the corner of your eye."
