I would like to propose the Taco Bell Principle When a person/institution Did A Problem, & IMMEDIATELY fesses up & takes proactive steps to solve it That's exactly what we want them to do? So how bout we let them live ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A quick word on Taco Bell: That's where we found the suspected lettuce, and it's not bc Taco Bell is gross. It's bc Taco Bell is REALLY GOOD at tracing product! Keeping track of exactly where they got their ingredients, & exactly what restaurants each shipment of ingredients went to!
The guy who coined the term "antisemite" is exactly the guy you think he'd be. * fired (thinks it was unjust) * agitator without convictions, failed at that * many failed publications * everyone thinks he's a windbag * divorced four times (three exes are Jewish) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm...

The culture of heterosexual men is so compliment-and affirmation-deprived that it makes a lot of sense that the positive attention makes many men feel like they are talking to a conscious genius
I sincerely believe that men cannot handle this. women may be falling in love with their chat bots, too. But I don't think they are categorically attached to its flattery to the same degree.
loadbearing post came back into my life recently. everyone say thank you tumblr user squareallworthy
Most rural areas have a ruling class. And they want cheap unfree workers & to pass their fiefdoms on tax-free forever. It ain't rocket science. The fact that we're scared to talk about THAT, ime, is what's costing us a lot of rural voters!

you do sort of understand why people are cynical about capitalism when there is a problem that market mechanisms would be perfect for solving and we refuse to discuss them because they would impact a privileged cast (farm owners)
Yeah so NYT asked me ~2 yrs ago to write an op-ed about how the Colorado is running dry, & what we should do to keep this exact thing from happening. I said "There's only one real answer. Bill farmers by how much water they use. Duh." NYT editorial staff freaked tf out & cancelled the piece.
For me there are certain candidates who dramatically outperform the fundamentals (Cooper, Ossoff, Whitmer, Shapiro, etc.) and I think Dems need to figure out how to get more candidates like them to run in more swing and light red states.
You don’t want hands free driving, you want trains. You want trains you want trains you want TRAINS
Speaking of Odyssey moods: All round the coast the languid air did swoon, Breathing like one that hath a weary dream. Full-faced above the valley stood the moon; And like a downward smoke, the slender stream Along the cliff to fall and pause and fall did seem.

Times have been tough in this Ohio town since they closed the old stock market rigging factory. So when Donald Trump started manipulating the market with his Truth Social posts—and looping in Wall Street—they finally had something to cheer about. But now the woke mob wants to take that all away.
