Thinking about how King County Metro is adding four hundred bus trips tomorrow compared to the week prior and FIVE HUNDRED trips on Sunday. It's going to take a lot of work to maintain those service levels into the future, but it's been awesome watching Metro embrace the idea of an all-week network.

Sound Transit confirms that it shattered its one-day ridership record on July 6 with the U.S. vs Belgium match. 309,000 riders pressed onto Link trains that day. 5.4 MILLION riders used Link during the entirety of June, easily clearing the previous monthly ridership record.

At a board meeting this morning, Sound Transit CEO Dow Constantine says "localized damage" to the overhead wire system near UW station caused the system outage that began this morning and is still ongoing. He says the repairs are expected to take several more hours.
