Currently at the fun stage of Portland summer where my CO2 monitor is freaking out (1575ppm) and wants me to open the window immediately, while my air quality map says the air is chunky outside (180aqi) and I should definitely keep the window closed.

How have we had keyboard innovations like the Windows key (lol) or the Fn key, but still haven't made the Caps Lock key change the capitalization of highlighted text?? If I highlight a sentence and hit Caps Lock, it should cycle through ALL CAPS, all lower, And Title Case like come ONNNNN

We were somewhere around line 23,494 on the edge of the framework when the caffeine began to take hold. I remember saying something like 'I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should code...' And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the screen was full of compilation errors.

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.

A quick word on Taco Bell: That's where we found the suspected lettuce, and it's not bc Taco Bell is gross. It's bc Taco Bell is REALLY GOOD at tracing product! Keeping track of exactly where they got their ingredients, & exactly what restaurants each shipment of ingredients went to!

Many, many years ago I worked for a certain legal news website to which Lindsey Graham subscribed. Anyway i hardcoded it to always spell his name wrong in the top corner, no matter how many times he tried to manually correct it.

Here's my actual true opinion. The only way to fix all of this nonsense is rent affordability and health care . If people can afford the rent and get healthcare, then they can start and go to work for normal businesses, and write and make art and music. And there can be third places, etc etc.

the least realistic thing about cyberpunk novels is the protagonists weren't CONSTANTLY complaining about running their own rigs vs the off-the-shelf 'Ono-Sendai Cyberspace II' or spending chapters debugging and rewriting their harness/deck software.

Once again, @gri.gs proves that I am the more even-keeled of the two of us — not given to hyperbole or hubris, as he so often is — as he declares the death of responsive images once and for all. Call him a “bad influence” on me if you must (as many people do!), but so help me: I’m inclined to agree.
