Clang the bells! The @wigleaf.bsky.social Long List and Top 50 list is up www.wigleaf.com.🎈 Special thanks to Guest Selecting Editor, @andrewporter01.bsky.social. Gratitude also to our team who spent countless hours reading. And big 🙏 to Scott Garson without whom this list wouldn't exist! 🌷🌷

Writing tip: Give your protagonist a pet cat. In the final pages, shift to the cat's point of view. Follow the cat outside, through moonlit woods, to a pasture where cows kneel in worship around a glowing spacecraft. As the cat trots up its gangway, we glimpse in the windows an all-cat crew.

For the evening crowd. From time to time, when writing budget allows, I commission illustrations for my website. This one is a striking one by @emo-sludge.com. I saw Zach's portfolio and was blown away. I thought, "Bet he could do something real messed and freaky for this story!" And boy did he.

It was an honor to make this piece for ‘Our Revels Are Now Ended’ (and as you can probably tell I had a ton of fun working on it). It’s a brilliant short story and I can’t recommend you read it highly enough!

Are you a reviewer on Insta or Tiktok (where I dare not tread) interested in an ARC of DEAD BOYS DONT CRY when it's available? Let me know!

Announcement for Dead Boys Don't Cry by Joe Koch, coming out in June 2027, described as a cosmic-erotic slasher and queer anti-murder mystery told through interlocking stories, pitched as Cruising meets Robbe-Grillet's The Erasers.
