I'm coming to the end of this project!!! Was it necessary for me to do a deep dive on each library system in the area? No, but it was really fun and I'm excited to share what I found! The question is now do I want to leave it as a boring document or adapt it into a zine or website hmmmmmm....

I've started writing up a resource about public libraries in the area for my mutual aid group!!! I'm really excited to help educate others and get them engaged with the library! Yay! I'm also planning to adapt it into a general guide. I just want more folks to support the public library!!!

This week I've been trying to spent 20 minutes/one "task" per day in my sewing room to clean it up. It's going well! The problem with doing this before work is now all I want to do is be at home to continue cleaning 😭🥲

When we talk about the importance of funding libraries and library workers - this is the result of being down just *six* people across the entire city of Chicago. Wherever you live, libraries have been running on shoestrings for years and years. Fighting for funding improves service you use!

Okay I'm not going to lie, having a dinosaur themed summer reading program at the library has been amazing. I was feeling lackluster about next year's mystery theme. But the sneak peek of the artwork is already adorable! I can't wait to see more of it! Artwork by Laurie Conley

As adults we're told playing is childish, but I truly believe allowing yourself to play is one of the keys to happiness and creativity. I have been playing with paper recently and it boosted my art. I wanna get me some wooden toys and lego now. Playing is not just for kids, it's for everyone! ✨🌼

Not to soap box about this but i feel that ppl in the english indie comics space should hear it: creating doujinshi/self published comics without the stamp of a prestigious fair or an indie publisher does not make you any less of a comic artist. drawing comics makes you a comic artist.

I thrifted this big ArtBin that was missing a clip and found a 3D print file online. Then I got it printed at the library, hurray! It makes me happy to be able to replace something so small easily hehehe.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time.
