"Phew, finally submitted the game to the game jam! Time to relax. But first, let me share it with some folks." A few hours later, a friend sends a photo of them finishing the game. "Oh nice! It looks like the game's beatable at lea--" I notice that a major sprite is flipped for some reason. 🫠

Steps in the right direction, but would you trust a policy like: "We can't catch everyone peeing in the pool, so it's okay to pee in the pool as long as it's not substantial." It's better for everyone if the policy is "No peeing in the pool." The fact you can't catch everyone is irrelevant.

For years we have been overwhelmed by the volume of code contributions we have to review, especially from new contributors. AI has made the problem much worse. That's why we are taking steps to reduce the burden on maintainers while still welcoming new contributors: godotengine.org/article/cont...

Here's the first test render from my bare-bones raytracing code, showing a public domain 3D scan of a triceratops skeleton from the Smithsonian museum! There are clearly still bugs when you zoom in, but progress! 🖥️😺 You wouldn't believe how many bugs were me mixing up greater-than and less-than 😆
