Russia has been at war with Britain for years and the EU referendum was an open goal which they exploited. That doesn't mean that "Putin made Brexit happen" but his troll farms and media operations certainly played a part Brexiters may hate to hear it but to deny it is to deny a dangerous reality.

Andy Burnham first PM to confirm Kremlin role in Brexit vote The prime minister has revealed UK authorities told him there was ‘clear evidence’ that Moscow meddled in the referendum observer.co.uk/news/nationa...

Why on earth does this BBC piece on Burnham telling an interviewer the UK security services confirmed Russian interference in the Brexit referendum require a response from a pro Brexit pressure group? It's literally our Prime Minister telling us about election security. It's nothing to do with them.

The prime minister told The Rest is Politics podcast that upon arriving in No 10, he had asked about possible Russian interference in the 2016 vote, adding: "I've had the clear answer that, yes, there was."

"I think we've been too much on the back foot on that actually and we haven't informed people sufficiently about the extent to which people are seeking to disrupt the political process from overseas," he added.

Burnham did not provide further details about the type or extent of Moscow's activity during the Brexit referendum.

Britain Unbound, a pro-Brexit campaign group, said Burnham's comments were "another crude attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the decision that the British people made in 2016".

It said that foreign interference in UK elections was "obviously unacceptable" but added: "There is no good reason to believe that Russian intervention influenced the outcome of the referendum in 2016.

The best news to wake up to ahead of the morning round. Congratulations to Sagal, who has led such a positive campaign. Thank you to the brilliant Labour team and members who made this win possible. Britain is backing Labour’s message of hope. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cq...

I've just accidentally stumbled into auto-renew hell. Burnham right to target it - I feel like I've been mugged. Note to companies - I will never stay with a company that does this to me. You get more money from me this year but none ever again. Smart?

The International Court of Justice has confirmed—by 10–4—that the right to strike is protected under ILO Convention 87. Crucial to the ruling was clear evidence that global & regional human rights instruments, & states themselves—including the UK—have long recognised that C87 contains this right 1/2

The ICJ is close to giving its final opinion on the existence of the right to strike in connection with freedom of association (ILO Convention 87)

shotgun not me but think there's scope here for a proper, lengthy, meaty feature looking at every single policy area in Britain that's currently fucked specifically because of a decision George Osborne took, reckon you could make it an actual mag cover, his fingerprints are everywhere

Osborne seems totally untouchable, Teflon, within the UK elite classes, where accountability is concerned he'll be appointed part-time Duke of York next

Hey Reform, here's a conundrum for ya - as evidenced by commentary by experts at the UN's International Labour Org., until the ERA passed the UK had the weakest labour rights in Western Europe: so if scrapping rights fights the cost of living crisis, how did we end up with a cost of living crisis?
