What can you get in Central London for £8? Cinema ticket? No. Coffee & sandwich? Just about. Tonight you could have heard 105 musicians of the BBC Philharmonic playing Betsy Jolas, Sibelius & Strauss at the BBC Proms. Some of world’s finest players are there every night until Sept 12. For £8. Go!

Jeez what's with the meeting the prime minister videos? Just awful. Are these filmed in arrival before they know whether they're in or out or what government job they've got...or after? 'Come back in and embody "energy secretary"'; ' Come back in and embody "Secretary of State for shitfuckNo! OhOK"

I've been playing the horn for 40 years. On Saturday night, for the first time, I'll be playing standing in front of an orchestra! Schumann with Portobello Orchestra in Notting Hill and my friends from New London Harmonia, Jonathan West , David Claydon and Christopher Owen

I know it’s practically blasphemy to say so, but society should not require everyone to work. Some people can’t. Some people shouldn’t. Some people contribute more by *not* working than they would by working. Work isn’t that important.

Look, I don't think this is difficult, but apparently it needs to be said? If you do not like the casting of a film, don't see the film. The person making the film DOES like it, and has every right to make it, and the people who agree with them have every right to go see it. Just shut up.

Appointing Wes Streeting as the next leader of the Labour Party would be as popular as appointing Jose Mourinho as the next Liverpool manager. For non-football people, they are both total cunts that good people will never love.

The next Labour leader must move decisively away from the status quo to beat Reform. That means giving power and wealth to working class people. It means a democratic revolution, rent controls and public ownership of water. It means someone who isn't Wes Streeting.

Yes, the media holds Labour to higher standards than the Tories and Reform. So do I. I expect higher standards from Labour. That should be part of the main point of Labour. We expect Tories to be self-serving, corrupt and nasty. We expect Reform to be bigots and racists. Labour, not so much.
