data center boosters try to keep the conversation focused on water consumption because air pollution is where the acute problem is
Brad Johnson@climatebrad.hillheat.com · 2d agoMy god. A Virginia data center ran backup diesel generators full blast for 24 hours, creating a giant cloud of toxic smoke that choked its human neighbors. The government claimed there was nothing they could do.
I've begun work on Yushanfang's 1/96 scale "Hawthorne Cake" Sazabi, and I think I have DRASTICALLY underestimated how big this thing is gonna be. The shield alone is only slightly smaller than a 20oz bottle of soda. This thing is going to be an absolute monster, and I am HYPED.
HG Draken E. As a Sniper II fan I had to get one of these, and lucked out. I somehow won this on EBay with a single $15 bid. A very different build than the average kit, with some pretty cool features. It was fun to zhuzh it up with some extra color, especially in its impressively-detailed cockpit.

My unvaccinated brother died of COVID in 2021. I was about a year and a half into my epidemiology career. Healthcare staff did absolutely everything they could but they cannot cure ignorance. They cannot cure an anti-science belief and culture. Thats YOUR responsibility. Not Dr. Fauci’s.
Parents: If your child cannot stop looking at their phone during a movie, please take it away from them before it starts. It's not enough to silence it. The light distracts from other moviegoers. Thank you for attending my Ted Talk.

Y'know what'd be cool? If a bunch af artists redrew a single frame from the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam eye-catch to create a composite animation of old grandad in different styles! Maybe a few other select animations too, but gotta start small! but I think it would be neat.
To anyone out there who suggests that the “Freedom 250” UFC fight on the White House lawn is supposedly some celebration of America and that it’s wrong to not support it, let me point out the obvious. Today is not America’s birthday. That’s in July. Today is the wannabe dictator’s 80th birthday.
The president of the United States is a sociopath. I'd love for him to sue me for saying that because then he'd have to prove he's not a sociopath. FDT!!!

I don't think there should be a work requirement for SNAP. I think there should be a wage-should-be-enough-for-employees-to-eat requirement for employers.
