Lindsay Beyerstein@beyerstein.bsky.social · 2w agoAlex Karp of Palantir says the AI industry must be nationalized to protect it from lawsuits if it accidentally destroys the world. More likely, he sees the bubble about to burst and he wants to be bought out with our tax dollars before that happens.
Read to the bottom of this waiting for discussion of the real degree of nastiness of him drunkenly abusing an employee at a site visit as part of his parliamentary duties.

I remember a comic book from growing up, where Scrooge McDuck bought every single 1916 Quarter coin, and destroyed all but one, so he could have the rarest and most valuable coin in the world. The only problem? There was noone else rich enough to buy it from him for what it was worth. 😒 🤔 😒

Which honestly is just some seriously knot-twisting from the Speaker.
