A complete failure. Just spitballing, but maybe the Albanese govt should have consulted with experts instead of Fitzy and Wippa

Sitting outside a cafe and three kids come down a set of stairs in front of me. One starts going right while another goes left. “Which way?” The third kid asks. Right kid: “this way’s faster.” Left kid: “this way’s more fun.” They took the left route.
Today I learned that I am not the only person in the world who maintains an entire detailed chronology of a vast metropolis in their head.

Harrison Ford, the actor behind loveable scoundrels Han Solo and Indiana Jones, started his career as an on-set carpenter. That makes him a roguelike deckbuilder.
Every so often, I'm reminded of the fact that nobody knows who the guy behind the Max Headroom broadcast intrusion is.

The most insipid collection of books you'll ever see, whose only commonality is that they're all works that stupid people think smart people read.

On the bright side, if Carroll kills the project now, it deprives the Libs of the one policy they actually have going into the election.
Ben Carroll will not rule out redirecting Suburban Rail Loop funds to other projects
My beef with Morrissey runs all the way back to 1986 when he said this about Black artists. Nineteen Eighty Six, while the Smiths were still active. It’s not a “later phenomenon” don’t try and lie to me www.standard.co.uk/culture/musi...
I love how I could be making money right now, but because of the government’s refusal to abolish the privatised job network, I have to waste time in an employment provider’s office.
This would be an unmitigated disaster for Australian democracy if it happened. I hate the LNP as much as the next girl, but I would take them over fascists any day.
🚨 NEW: The latest federal MRP released by DemosAU shows One Nation leading the nationwide primary vote and projected to win 60 seats – with Labor only slightly ahead of them and falling short of majority government

Man, I haven't been this excited about a new show in years. There was a stretch of about 10 or 11 years where I read this novel on the plane every time I flew to Tokyo to help me get into the right headspace. This is going to be so good

In October last year I was fired by Rockstar Games in what we believe was a union busting move. We lost our home. We lost 2 jobs with my partner being forced to resign. We lost a community. Most importantly however we had to leave our two dogs behind, one of which will never return.
Back in October, Rockstar Games fired 34 employees for alleged gross misconduct. The severity of these firings could have spelled the end for a burgeoning union effort that was underway, but it didn't. In fact, the union is now *bigger* than it's ever been before. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym4z...
Vibe coded shit has become such a huge problem lately and has polluted so many areas related to FPGA, recompilations etc. Nearly every example of this produces broken or poorly performing results. It's happening exactly as I feared.
Siiiigh vibe-coded recomps have come for my beloved Mischief Makers next. There's only one video up of it which doesn't show any of the 3D scenery stages, but the 3D rocks in the intro have broken textures. Emulation used to have that problem decades ago but it emulates perfect these days.
