Die Menschen sind so an das Auto gewöhnt, insbesondere im ländlichen Bereich, dass sie gar nicht mehr über ihr Handeln nachdenken. Im ländlichen Bereich gibt es kaum ÖPNV aber immer noch die Füße und das Fahrrad. Seit es Pedelecs gibt, sollten auch 10 km weniger das Problem sein.

It's my favourite time of the semester again: Today I visited the University Library w. my Lampert of Hersfeld class to look at two original charters from the 11th c. issued by the archbishop of Mainz (1043) and the abbot of St. Maximin in Trier (c. 1047), respectively. Charterrific!

This #Etruscan terracotta votive portrait head of a man is clearly modeled on a real individual. It was part of a votive deposit associated with the Manganello sanctuary in Caere, where people went to pray for healing or thank the gods for recovery. 🏺 1/ Late 2nd-early 1st c. BCE. 📸 me

I renovated miniatures from a clubs project 15 years ago and added 4 new painted miniatures with models I primed ages ago. The models weren’t treated well but finally ended up painted.

Heute endet der meteorologische Frühling und er war der allerwärmste seit Messbeginn im Jahre 1850. In allen drei Monaten (März, April, Mai) lagen die Temperaturen über dem Durchschnitt, nur Mitte Mai gab es eine kürzere kühle Phase. Geregnet hat es nur 40-50 % der normalen Menge.

With the release of the new BP44 armoured train rules from Battlefront, Nathan and I thought we would give them a whirl! Suffice to say, a magnificent, completely ridiculous thing. Its rules are a bit squiffy, but honestly, against a willing opponent bringing a themed army, they are great! #trains
